But the guy in the coma was allegedly the aggressor. I guess he fooled around and found out.

PR firm told police to arrest the other guy, and make it sound like they were all tough on crime. Theatre. He will end up suing the guy in a coma, and winning.

It seems like every time L.A. plays a Bay area team there's fighting, usually it's Dodgers/Giants but that's also the most commonly played match-up. And it's often surmised there's a gang element to that with the Sureno/Norteno wars.

This doesn't really seem gang-related. But a few years ago when the Rams were still at the Coliseum I happened to be at the stadium around a game. There definitely was an element of dudes who look like they don't mind throwing down. I think the NFL in general attracts those dudes, so this might have just been a typical NFL fan fight between two guys with big egos and just enough brawn to think they shouldn't ever back down.

I wore my Barry bonds jersey to a Dodgers game despite being warned not to. I literally was in fear of my life when I left the game. You ppl take sports way to serious!
