Inglewood is slightly more ghetto but also has major projects such as the mega development around the stadium and the new metro line. Hawthorne is semi suburban.

Speaking only as a tourist...when we would ride down La Brea through the middle of Inglewood just pre-covid there were quite a few more nicely dressed gringos out there than we would have anticipated frequenting the local businesses. Hawthorne just seemed a little more sleepy.

Most of Inglewood's lower-income population will eventually relocate to Victorville or Las Vegas.

Almost anywhere else in LA County is too expensive at this point.
