I filed for a medically related Ch. 7 last year. It's been over a year. I need to find a new apartment asap. I make six figures, perfect rental history, no other issues. Credit is currently in the mid to high 600s. Can get a co-signer. I am terrified because I see that most larger companies won't rent to anyone with a bankruptcy and most buildings around here seem to be owned by such companies. What are my realistic chances? I have terrible upstairs neighbors and need to move soon for my sanity. Am I screwed? I live in Toluca Lake and would like to stay in a decent neighborhood. Nothing shady.

You still never responded to people in the other "I need to find an apt" thread you started back in June. Im still curious as to where you are in Toluca Lake that has a 5 STORY APARTMENT. There arent any. Are you north of the freeway or south like off Riverside? Did you ask the management of your building about perhaps moving to another unit like I mentioned?

I didn’t realize people responded. Never got a notification. I am on Valley Spring between Cahuenga and Lankershim. It’s a 4 story building with parking being the first floor so technically 5.
