So many fun memories from that place. It was just basic comfort food, but it was good. Even the hot chocolate was good enough to warrant a trip there. And they were open all night, I believe. I remember my friends and me rolling in there late -- one time after seeing The Rocky Horror Picture show perhaps. Good times.

Oh Norms. So many memories of studying and BSing with friends at the one near 182nd and Hawthorne. Food was average but you could hang out all night if you wanted to.

When I lived in Pasadena many years ago, I would dine at the San Gabriel location, often late at night. Must have been in the ‘80’s-‘90’s, they always advertised a “steak & eggs” breakfast for $3.99, available 24 hours. I recall the “Norm’s” sign being visible from far away on Valley Blvd. in San Gabriel. Great memories of a past era.

I visited the area probably 8 years ago and this location is no longer there.

I dont think I've ever been to any Norms. Hard to choose to go there when Apple Pan is just a few blocks away.

There is a new Norms that recently opened near me in Encino. Used to be a Tony Romas. Maybe I'll try them out one of these days, but again, even if I were to walk/skateboard there, I'd think I'd have to stop at Fat Sal's.

Man...the Apple Pan. This thread is making me feel very nostalgic. The Hickory Burger and a piece of Apple Pie ala mode. Great times!

They built a new Norms in El Monte on Valley Blvd at Santa Anita Ave to replace it.

Ah, good to know. I’ll stop by the next time I’m out in the San Gabriel Valley.

In Pasadena, there was a place called “Pie & Burger” on California Blvd., looks like it is still there. Another comfort food kind of place. Haven’t been in many years.
