I'm headed to Santa Monica for a bit this summer and want to zero in on some good coffee shops with free wi-fi to work. Anyone have any recommendations?
Thanks in advance!

I don't know about wi-fi, and I suspect it doesn't have it, but Caffe Luxxe on Montana has the best cappuccino I have ever tasted. In every other way it is a terrible place--snotty crowd, slow service, way too expensive, obnoxious sign about cellphone use etc.--but who cares?

Don't know about Wi-Fi, but I like Swingers in Santa Monica. It's pretty low-key.

All Corner Bakery locations have free Wi-Fi. There is one in Santa Monica but its not really a place where you can plug in and stay for and hour or more like Starbucks.

The Coffee Bean on Main St. is a great coffee shop in Santa Monica. There is always a good amount of people there and the outdoor seating is great for people watching.

Default Free wi-Fi

Panera bread - 5th/Wilshire. Free Wi-Fi

Best location for people watching and vibe is The Coffee Bean on Wilshire/8th. Outside seating with a nice open fire pit area, which you'll need in Santa Monica. Not sure about Wi-Fi at this location though?
