National Geographic showed the history of the Crips-Bloods feud. Is this still going on?

The show depicted the Crips in a more negative light, or so it seemed, than the Bloods. I thought it was interesting that when they started selling crack and making millions, they turned away from killing each other, and concentrated on maintaining their capitalistic Hollywood lifestyles.

The Crips and Bloods are now having to focus their attention towards hispanic gangs being controlled by La Eme

if i recall, when they filmed training day(early 00's i guess?) they hired crips and bloods for security and some extras for the on location filming. the main gang consultant was an ex-blood as well. the problems exist still, but less pronounced. i believe current issues in LA are black vs mexican gang crime

Le Eme is making itself known here in the Southwest - they have been part of the human smuggling problem and drug running going on -

And now with the growth of the Asian gangs, things are really getting wild - turf wars are everywhere -

They "hired crips and bloods for security"? - I guess it could have been worse, they could have hired the Hell's Angels.

they filmed in places that are considered crip and blood strongholds, places where people almost had to be "allowed" to be, so this was an easy way to film the movie in the places they wanted(like the roughest projects and neighborhoods in the LA area). it also gave a bit of honest work to people that might not pursue any
