Hi guys

Me and my best friend are moving from London to LA for 3 months in March! What would be the way to do it? Where's the coolest place to Live? (affordable). We have a little money saved but could we get part-time jobs waitressing or something? Whats the best area for a couple of party girls that love the beach and the clubs? We're a couple of city girls who really need a change of scenery. As we're only here for 3 months, where do we start?

That's quite a website. Before you get here, try to e-mail the radio show "Passport Approved" at indie103.com. The website will have the show's info for you. The DJs for that show specialize in music from around the world at L.A.'s most interesting rock/alt/punk/reggae/metal/dance/you name it radio station. They might be able to suggest places to showcase, where to hang etc. in the interest of their listeners who like stuff from around the world, and I think the DJs would like to meet good looking young female performers such as yourselves.

Having said that, it's difficult to work legally here on short notice without a corporate sponsor. Many British persons gravitate to Santa Monica, next to the ocean, a place they like. Could you scroll through some of the previous threads here addressed to British persons coming here? There'll be info for you too. Good luck.

Ack! I forgot a digit! Go to the indie1031.com website for the "Passport Approved" radio show information. This is tailor-made for these young ladies. By the by, everyone should visit their websites: they're not commercial, just personal. The two young ladies have the best caucasian/black chemistry verve going for a duo since the two guys on "Psyche" tv show (whom I find hilarious.)
