Someone should make a cut-and-paste template for the standard questions. :-)

How much per month to spend on rent? How long are you staying? Where will you be working? Will you have a car?

In the absence of any information whatsoever, I'd advise you to live in Santa Monica or West Hollywood.

Remember that this city is huge and divided into a million little neighborhoods. Few people experience more than their own corner. Everything you've ever heard about this city is true, but, not everything is present in each neighborhood.

The only thing that holds us together is the Dodgers, the Lakers, and whining about the traffic.

I'd love to visit the Pacific coast one day but just couldn't face such a looooong journey. So I can't help you at all, just popped in to stare at you (like this ) and think wow, brave girl.

After the so-called-summer we're having in Ireland, can't say as I blame you. Have a wonderful search, and happy beach-living!!

a typical place for people your age and the price range you would expect would be belmont shore, seal beach, or huntington beach. check those places out, if you dont like them i would check somewhere else because everything else is either older and/or way more expensive or just not great beach areas(either safety wise, beach wise, or something else)

have you given any thought to immigration documents, and whether you can qualify to obtain them? they don't just hand them out to anyone who says they want to move here, although lots of europeans and british islanders seem to think otherwise.
