I recently moved to LA and have been renting a room in Westwood. The lease is up at the end of August, and my friend and I are looking for a 2 bedroom apartment for September. He works in Santa Monica and I most likely will be working in the Beverly Hills/Century City area. We're recent college graduates living off entry level entertainment industry salaries so we're looking for a place that's within a reasonable commuting distance yet is still somewhat affordable, for LA at least. Any suggestions on what neighborhoods/areas we should look in?

Palms, Mar Vista, and Culver City are all centrally located on the westside and offer the most reasonable rents in the area.

Ditto to BRinSM. Though my vote goes to Culver City.
