Hi all,
My girlfriend and I are looking for an apartment/condo/townhome etc… in the San Gabriel Valley. We would like to live in the Pasadena / Sierra Madre area but are open to other areas as well. What we would like in an apartment is:
-1 br / 1 ba
-Pretty Safe Area
-Relatively quiet area on weeknights (live by a stoplight now)
-Need AC
-Would to find a place with a gym or a gym very close
-Balcony would be a plus but not a dealbreaker

Our budget is around $1,500 per month but we might be able to pay a bit more for the ideal place. Can anyone recommend any specific places in the SGV that they think we might enjoy?

FYI – we are both in are late 20’s w/ no children (if it matters)

You should be able to find this easily. Did you check craigslist? Another source would be iTechMLS, and then look in there for rentals. The ones who advertise in there are different from the ones who advertise on craigslist, by and large.

Both cities are definitely doable with that budget. However, some of Pasadena is a little more noisy than Sierra Madre. Sierra Madre only has one main stoplight and that is on the western edge of town(going into Pasadena).

Most of Sierra Madre will fit with what you desire.

The balcony will depend on the apartment complex but almost everything else fits.
