I have heard that it is possible to get a permit to go to a Las Virgenes school for someone who lives just outside the boundary. Is this true? And if so, how? We live 1 mile outside the boundary and our LAUSD high school is just too large and crowded for my daughter.

Any suggestions?

Yes, Here's a suggestion. Call the LV school district and ask them.

I am almost certain Oak Park permits this. Not sure about the details but I think it is because the demographics of the community have changed (more seats than kids?) and Oak Park needs kids to get the state education dollars. Oak Parks is an outstanding school district however it is surrounded by outstanding school districts so there wouldn't be a huge education quality differential to cause people to leave say Conejo or Agoura High to attend an Oak Park school.

yes, I believe this is allowed. I'd call right away for they give them out towards the end of the school year, for the next year.
