You assume that the posters on this site are real people.
For a long time now I`ve suspected that 50% of the responses originate from the Microsoft Artificial Intelligence labs or some PhD project at MIT.
I could be wrong though.

Default LA is close to Mexico!

Wow, the ignorant comments here are disappointing...hopefully these are coming from ppl leaving LA soon.

LA is close to Mexico so yes there are a lot of Mexican ppl here. So if you have issues with that, then keep being miserable or leave. The great thing about our country is you have that opportunity; many in other countries don't. So pack up and leave if it's that terrible.

I live in the South bay, redondo beach. It is a nice area. I think all the ppl complaining about where they live should look around and find another place in LA county that suits them. I am not rich at all, but found a way with research, patience and work to live in a nice area.

Btw, I teach in South Cental LA...it is disappointing to see that so many of my "poor, immigrant" students are going to have to go out into the world when they graduate and deal with the pretentious, spoiled attitudes of many of those who post here and feel they are above those who don't measure up to their expectations.
