I just accepted a job in Torrance and now I am looking for a place to live in the South Bay. I am from Los Angeles so I am familiar with the area. I am considering living in Redondo Beach.

I want a 1-bedroom apartment. I don't want to spend too much on rent. Let's try and keep it under $1,200/month.

If you have any suggestions please let me know.

I doubt you find anything in Hermosa or Manhattan for that price. When I was apartment hunting, I found a new decent places in Torrance... As far as Redondo goes, I have no idea.

Not sure about prices, but I'd recommend looking at the area around Torrance Blvd & Prospect; I really like that area. Also, on Anza, anything between PCH and 190th st. My friend who lives in Redondo Beach recommends staying west of Hawthorne Blvd. I have a photo tour of Redondo Beach and Torrance that I could post some time if there's an interest.

Does RB extend east of Hawthorne Blvd? I thought that was the boundary. East of Hawthorne is Torrance. Or am I missing something?

Default Amazing apartment deal!!!

Since the duplicate thread got dropped, here's the amazing apartment deal at Torrance and Prospect again. I grew up half a block from this intersection and can tell you it's one of the nicest places in Southern California to live. 5 blocks from the beach and a wonderful microclimate:
