Do you think LA can take much more population growth? Haven't things already gotten way out of hand? What do you think LA will be like in 2050.

For me, there needs to be a HUGE technological leap in transportation- maybe something completely different than using older forces of friction, etc to move- like bending space somehow to transport one across a continent in an instant. LA is already, with traffic, as you guys know, beyond a joke. LA somehow still manages to gain thousands of people a year- not to mention the surrounding areas- and by 2050 things could just be really, really, really insane.

Can someoe please change the topic title?

5050? I think the planet will be destroyed long before we get anywhere near 3050.

Damnit! I meant 2050. How did I make that mistake 3 times?

There's a good chance of an earthquake or a devastating fire will come before then.

Flying cars would be complete chaos in LA. Billboards up there would be blocking the smog though.

Global warming could also have some sort of devastating effect by then. Not to mention issues with petroleum and water might cause much of SoCal
(and the southwest in general) to lose a great deal of population by then.
