Hello everyone. I'm new to this but need a question answered. If my husband recieved a ticket in San Jose, CA. (a couple of years ago) but now lives in Los Angeles and would like to get his drivers license, can he pay that ticket here in Los Angeles and how would he go about doing this?

I'm pretty sure you could call the San Jose court and pay over the phone. Or maybe even online.

I dont know. I just had to pay a ticket from TN, and they wouldn't let me do it over the phone. I had to mail it in.

Really? It probably varies by county.

Most likely. Probably just check the city's police department webpage.

He has avoiding paying a ticket for years? Does not that generate problems of its own?

I dont know...its weird, but forgetting a ticket is possible.
Last year I got a ticket, and when I called the courthouse they told me there might be a warrant out for me. I was like, 'for what!?!'.
Turns out I had an unpaid ticket from like, 3 years earlier.
I barely remembered getting it, remembered calling the courthouse and them not having any record of the ticket at the time. I assumed the officer was a nice guy and trashed the ticket..man, that was naive.
