Another one. Who made this team allergic to losing?

I need to get myself to a game. Let's hope they don't blow it again this year.

And Gene Mauch.

I was sitting in the bar at The Cocky Bull in Victorville for that game. You could have heard a pin drop when Henderson hit that fly ball. The fact that Baylor scored the go-ahead run wasn't lost on Angel fans.

It was just a couple years ago that a proud MLB franchise was in the papers in a negative light regarding the bankruptcy and the situation of the McCourts.

Today the Dodgers are playing as good a baseball that a club can play. Since June 22nd they have been 40-8. One would have to go back to 1942 with the St. Louis Cardinals to come up with a record that impressive. That year the Cardinals went 41-7 in their last 48 games.

And this is more than just a hot streak. They are playing with confidence. And in the close games such as the one last night they are finding ways to win.

Of course Puig put them over the top, but believing in themselves has done so much. The injuries no longer haunt them, at least not right now: Puig is for real, pitching is for real and hitting is looking darn good, but the self confidence is still what makes a winning team. Now, if they could just keep from committing so many errors, but that has always been the Dodgers. Even in their true hay days, errors were always there.

41-8 since June 22. This team is bananas.
