Here is some more free advice (that's worth exactly what you paid for it, no more!):

Remember the recruiter trip we've suggested? Sync that trip with a career fair at a local university that has a strong program that matches your major. These fairs are chock full of firms looking for fresh faces and top talent. These are good, entry level jobs at firms that sometimes prefer NOT to have years of experience as they want to mold you in their image. I have story after story of folks that launched their careers out of school with firms that recruited at a college career fair. This is a good way to make a personal impression, network, and hopefully lead to an on-site interview. The Cal State system is a good place to start.

Polish the resume, press the suit, spit out your chewing gum, and leave the cologne/perfume at home.

ps Did I mention yet that submitting your resume over the internet is about at fruitful as playing legos with potholders?
