In Los Angeles it is hard to find a predominantly middle class Black area. For starters I will correct some of the info on the above post.Baldwin Hills is not near Wilshire Blvd at all.I work on Wilshire Blvd, in L.A. traffiic it takes about 25 min. to get to Baldwin Hills. It is semi close to Venice Blvd.I would not recommend Inglewood ,however their has been a lot of new developments in Inglewood.I still feel the city has a long way to go as far as safety.Windsor Hills might be an area for you to consider homes start a about 500k plus.In Baldwin Hills you can get a condo for 500k SFD start close to 700k.Their is also Ladera Heights and View Park both areas are more expsensive SFD ranging from 850K to over 1 mil.All of the above areas are home to many upper middle class Blacks. The only problem is that these areas are relatively close to lower income areas so they share the same school districts and ammenities. If you are looking for an area with an Black presence Westchester and Culver City are all both good options.
