Hi everyone! Me and my friend next year consider moving to LA and study in Santa Monica High School. We already sent e-mail to principal of this school about is it possible to international students to study there and stuff like that So what I am really asking you guys is :
1) How can we find host families there and how much does these families cost?
2) Can you get high school diploma if we start this school from grade 11?
3) How much does Santa Monica High School cost for international students? I am asking to you because the principal hasn't answered my e-mail for a long time

P.S it is really hard for us to find all the information because we are living in Latvia
Thanks again for just looking to my thread!

I advice that you finish high school in Latvia and get the best grades you can get. After that you can apply for Santa Monica College or UCLA. You could easily get admitted into the high school, BUT you will need to have your parents go to the district's central office and register you. Since you're half way though high school, you will probably be moved back a year or two since you will have to fullfill your high school credits. The school district might give you credit for some courses such as foreign language and maybe history, but you probably are going to have to retake many courses and lose one or two years in order to receive a diploma. Like I said earlier, your best bet might be finish high school there and enroll in college once you move to California.
