Does anyone know where I can get some river rocks for landscaping? I have heard rumors about people purchasing a permit for a small fee and being able to remove river rocks from public land, but nobody knows any details. Anbody heard of this before or know of any construction sites where they are giving away rocks? Thanks!

Visit this web page and perhaps call them

Now, river rock is not that expensive. I filled my pickup truck with rock at a landscape supply place. They just dumped it in then I drove to their scale and I paid by the pound. It's pretty easy that way too. We're talking 15 minutes and are out of there. Don't have to drive far away. Legal. Many choices in colors and size of rock too.

Why not drive to a dry river bed and pick up some rocks yourself?
