studio city and burbank are very close to eachtother. both are nice areas, but studio city is closer to the metro rail stations in universal city and north hollywood. as for finding a job, good luck, americans are having a hard time finding jobs right now, so I'm not sure how likely it is that as a foreigner you'll be able to find a job for such a short period. You may try to contact local hostels (especially those in Hollywood if you plan on living in Studio City or Burbank) to see if they have positions open. I'm sure your language skills could be very helpful for them. Otherwise, you'll need a visa to get a job, which from my understanding are not easy to obtain.

Hello frenchie! Well, for the quarter of me that is French, each area has it's pros and cons. Burbank tends to have more big box shopping stores such as Target, Costco, Lowes, Best Buy, etc. Studio City on the other hand is primarily boutique-type shops. I think we need more of any idea what you mean by "better." Better in terms of shopping, night life, etc, or just in terms of a job.

Studio City is arms distance from Universal City Walk, so I'm not sure if that helps at all. What type of jobs are you looking for? Interpreter, Chef, etc?
