Spread out.

Just by the thread title, I thought this would be a question about the most New York-looking part of LA, in which case the only thing that comes close (at least to Manhattan) is the Broadway Corridor/Jewlery/Fashion/Toy districts (and even that's debatable).

Parts of Hollywood remind me of NYC(mainly Hollywood and Highland, over to Hollywood and Vine, down to Sunset and Vine).

As for the transplants, not sure.

I think there are more of them in the city than the valley.

Spread out...but Venice and Brentwood have the largest concentrations of New Yorkers most likely.

ahh, that's too bad..establishments? restaurants?? even if knock off's of italian cuisine? i'm here for a month on a project and already miss a little sardonic hubris and swagger.. to add, loving the weather here though...people are very laid back, great pace change, and always interested about back home, whether fake or not..nice is nice

They must be all spread out.

Its the Bostonians who seem to be more apt to move away from their Boston hometown to much more beautiful LA. But you cant blame them. I meet so many people who moved away from Boston to be in my hometown. Must be something seriously wrong with that place to make everyone want to move here.
