As far as jobs go, look into fast food.

Dude, you said that was melodic metal. Are you kidding me? It's about as melodic as Venom or Kreator.

Does anyone know of any musicians looking for a band to join???? It is heavy melodic metal, go check it out on www.myspace.com/againstangermusic We are thrilled to be here and would like to know any information on this area?? thank you
I hope that you have some job skills cause I doubt that you will make a dime playing the type of "music" that your band plays. If people like Adam Lambert ( on this season's American Idol) talks about how hard it is to make it in LA, then your chances are about zero. Adam Lambert can SING!!!!

In regards to playing in a band, it's very hard to make it in SoCal. I played in some of the clubs 15-20 years ago and I have some friends who still do. None of us ever made any money, in fact it usually cost us money to keep going. Everyone thinks they can flock to California to make it big. So what happens? The competition is way too fierce and it becomes a battle of who promotes their band better, which will cost you even more money. You probably had a better chance of making it in your home town, where you can build a local following and then go from there.

I'm not kidding here, but the area where you live is the porn capital of the world. There are actually some jobs in that arena that do not require you to remove your clothing. Seriously. I know a guy who made some good money recording background music for them.

Don't forget to fill out an application while you're there.

One tip: Eat at Beeps at the corner of Sherman Way and Woodley (or maybe it's Hayvenhurst). It's a pink drive-in kind of place. They have great breakfasts and sandwiches, etc.
