So, you only have $100,000 for a down payment, but you can afford to spend over $60k a year on housing costs? That math isn't working for me.

They probably earn $200k pa and don`t want to live in a $150k shack in a ghetto.

Actually no. I just found another post from the same girl. On that post she said she was an actress and couldn't afford anymore than $1,200 per month for rent. Now she says she's a business owner, her financial situation has greatly improved, and is looking for an $800k-$900k house.

I think Drama Queen would be a better name for her.

You might also look in the Los Feliz/Silverlake area, Pasadena, all are within minutes if downtown. Let me know when you are coming. I'd be happy to assist you in your search and purchase. I'm a real estate agent and know all these areas well.
