When I travel for my company they reserve and pay for the rental thru the travel company. That might be the answer to streamline the car rental.

The car will have been borrowed from a local mall and that will be the last you see of them and your $1300.
At the very best it will have been hired for one day from another rental outfit with fake id.
In LA you get what you pay for!
At least you will get a tour of the LAPD.

Has it occurred to you, that combining your age and the fact you will have a foreign lisence may add to the problems of renting and have you thought about what driving is going to be like for you with traffic you can not even imagine??? I am only trying to forewarn you, this may not work out the way you had hoped.

Good luck and be careful.. I certainly would never rent from a company that was not nationally known and respected...I have to agree, you may see $1300 go right down the drain...

Yes, all three have websites, I don't know that proves anything and when they say, no need to reserve, just come on down and pick out a car...This just isn't the way renting a car normally goes..What guarantee do you have that, when you get there they will have a car waiting for you or the price will be what was quoted???

$1,300 for two weeks? Wow -- that's EXPENSIVE ...

I'm with everyone else -- I hope you don't get scammed and lose your money.

Me too, I hope you don't get screwed. That Rex Rental Car place at least has a building: 9200 S Sepulveda Blvd, Los Angeles, CA

However it looks pretty rundown. Not like the exotic rental car places they show on their website. Looking on the satellite and street view on google map, it looks like they can only fit 10-15 cars in their lot.

Also, do these rental car companies operate a shuttle between the airport and their location. If not, it is a very long (thirty minutes+) walk to these off airport rental car locations.

Theese companies doesnt have shuttle busses, but they have pickup service.
But I think I will take a cap to the different underage car rentals to see which ones have the best cars.
