I am moving to LA next month. Things are happening very, very quickly for me. I could use as much help as I can get in apartment searches. I will be out there from April 26th to May 4th. I would like to make the most of my time, while I'm there, in finalizing living arrangements. I have started on-line, but I keep thinking there have got to be better deals than what I'm seeing. I will be going back out at the end of May, so time is an issue. I am in production, and will be working in Burbank. I need to know what sources to use to find an affordable, and safe 1 bedroom apartment somewhere around Burbank, Van Nuys, Glendale, North Hollywood, or the San Fernando Valley. What sources, on-line or otherwise, and where, are the best places to look for a decent apartment? I would appreciate any information... Thanks.

Here's a great source:

HousingMaps

as it maps craigslist rentals on google maps.
