Here are a few I snapped recently (iPhone 5S--cropped to 16x9, no editing/filters):

Gold Line Allen Station. This is the station for Pasadena City College... which is at least a good mile away.
Thankfully, PCC provides excellent shuttle service to and from the station. Look for white passenger vans with the PCC logo.

Jameson Brown Coffee. It's a block or so from Allen Station. Roasts its own beans and not totally a hipster coffee shop.
My wife says it's a good spot for hot chicks. I do not disagree.

Jones Coffee. It's a block or so from Fillmore Station. Roasts its own beans and totally a hipster coffee shop.
Looks like a warehouse (because it is one)--a very cool spot to sit down and sip some coffee.

Red Line Pershing Square Station. This station has two exits--one next to Pershing Square and one next to Angels Flight.
Use the latter exit for the Grand Central Market.

Red / Purple Line subway's "bike section." This is usually where you don't find the crazies. Usually.

Los Angeles Valley College in Van Nuys (or is it Sherman Oaks?).
The Orange Line Valley College Station is across the street.

I went to Runyon today... They changed the facade! It's no longer green with those little tiles - it's like a dark grey color with "texturing". Still looks cool but definitely doesn't have that retro look it used to.
