There have been fights large enough in Glendale in the past to have police out to the middle and high schools. There is a very long history of this, concentrated in Hollywood in the 80's and early 90's and then Glendale in the early-mid 90's.

I never said anywhere it was all or even the majority. I simply said that its an issue that does exist in Glendale, but not in Burbank or South Pasadena

Thanks you everyone for taking the time to answer my question! We have settled on South Pasadena for sure.

Default Eagle rock rocks

I grew up in Eagle Rock, in Northeast L.A. (between Glendale and Pasadena), from age 5 (1965) until college. Eagle Rock Elementary is one of the best schools in LAUSD. The junior-senior high school (grades 7-12 on one campus, the only school so comprised in the district) is also excellent. It's a quiet, stable area, and it's gotten trendy but not too expensive (by L.A. standards), and there's actually an Eagle Rock. It's an easy commute to SC from there as well, via the 2 Fwy through Echo Park and surface streets, or the 5/110.

I went to Eagle Rock Elementary way before you were born, Eagle Rock High School and lived almost directly across Colo Blvd from the rock. It really has almost always been a great place to live. There was a period of time when it was heading down hill but not for long.
