I'm living in Hawaii right now and I'll be studying in NYC for six months soon, but after that I hope to be coming home to CA. I grew up in CA and lived all over (San Diego, LA, SF, Napa, Sonoma, Sacramento, and Santa Cruz). I'm interested in living closer in, so maybe my drive won't be so bad this time, when I get to LA-- say Hollywood or something like that. What would your suggestions be? Yes, I'm an idiot actor
so proximity to auditions, etc. is a consideration.

Don't know how long ago you were in LA, but San Fernando Valley is where all the studios are now. You sound like an ideal candidate for North Hollywood. Access to the subway, artsy hip area, close to the studios.
