I actually went for the first time two weeks ago for a "square foot gardening class" with the mrs. It was nice to walk around and eat outside, albeit it was blazing that day and pretty rough on the skin. The place is full of peacocks.

Sorry, no really tips to offer for the Arboretum -- I'm not sure if you visit Arcadia much; but if you like Asian food, Din Tai Fung which is a famous dumpling place is less than a mile down the street on Baldwin.

i love the arboretum. its a great place. i like the bamboo garden. there is also lucky baldwins house and the lake. and yes plenty of peacocks. i also like the big umbrella tree they have.
its a good place to take the kids or friends. its also a destination for field trips. so be advised.

I'm always up for a challenge

Thanks everyone for the words of advice. I have to go take pictures of trees for a project, so i figured that would be the best place.

I'll keep those dumplings in mind too!

A few of those geese just might be able to run faster than some of those horses that I have been betting on for years across the street at Santa Anita.
