I have a couple of commuting questions. I've down some of the drives already, but at different times.

1. Morning commute time from downtown LA to North County San Diego (ie. Escondido, Rancho Bernardo, Poway area). Also, which is the best route? 405 South to 5 S or just straight down 5? Would the 73 shave off a lot of time on the 405?
(I just need to do this once possibly on Monday)

2. Morning commute from downtown LA to Redondo Beach (near Hermosa Beach) area? What about the reverse route in the afternoon?

3. Morning commute from downtown LA to El Segundo area? What about the reverse route in the afternoon?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Consider the Pomona Freeway to the 15 south to Escondido. This would be a reverse commute and much quicker.

Cool Back-routes

Relondo Beach to Downtown LA - Afternoon drive route
-----------------------

Take Vista Del Mar North from Hermosa Beach/Relondo Beach
Vista Del Mar curves around by LAX and becomes Culver Blvd
to Culver City
take Culver Blvd to Culver City
from here merge onto Venice Blvd and take Venice Blvd into Downtown LA
or W Pico Blvd or W Olympic Blvd any of these will work
--------------------------------------------------------------
(this way you dont have to get on any highways)
--------------------------------------------------------------

From El Segundo Beach to Downtown LA
take Aviation Blvd By LAX
to West Florence Ave.
West Florence ave. and then L onto N la Brea Ave
Take N La Brea Ave. W Pico and turn R on W Pico
take W Pico into Downtown LA

------------------------------------------------------------
