Since December, I've been living and working in Burbank (with the occasional work downtown) and have been loving the situation. I might accept a job off in Beverly Hills (near Wilshire and Beverly) and am trying to gauge my commute changes. I really don't want to leave Burbank, but if I have to, I will...
As of now, when I work in Burbank, I drive about 5 minutes. When I have to go downtown, driving is about 30-45 minutes, subway commute is around 45+ minutes door to door. If I take the job, I'm assuming that I'll take the 101 to Coldwater to Beverly, right? Does anyone make that drive frequently on here? I won't have set hours at the office, btw... It will be at random times on random days, etc.
I guess my question is, am at looking a commute around 45mins? If I decide to move, I know I'll have to pay alot more (I have a great deal on a 2 bedroom duplex), but what is the average for a 2bedroom in that area? 2500?
BTW, I don't need to factor in gas costs for the commute. Thanks again everyone.

depending on the neighborhood, you could easily be within 15 minutes of the aforementioned intersection and pay under $2,000 per month for a 2br.

Yea, but if I move, I want to be really close (like the 5 mins I have now), if not ill just commute. Half of my house is converted to a photo studio, so I don't want to move unless its really worth my while(in terms of location)
