I have like an old tube TV, 19" and an old microwave, and some old PC (486 era). Not sure where I can dump them or drop them off. Goodwill didn't want them.

Any suggestion around Los Angeles / Southbay area?

normally consolidated disposal can cart them away. you call a week in advance, tell them what objects will be left curbside and then you put them out on trash day.

you can also go to a public dump. there is one in hollydale(southgate) and another further south of hollydale (downey maybe, or paramount)

thats really for when you have a lot of rubbish. you go, they weigh your junk and they charge you a fee.

for other items, like yours, you can just do bulky item pick up (without a fee).

Look for a local e-waste recycling event. You can drop off old televisions, computers, etc. for free at these events. There is usually one of these going on every weekend, just wait for one that's near you or make a drive to one a little further away.

I have the same issue. I have a Television that bulky item pickup refused to "pickup." They took everything else but that. I was told, it needs to go to a special "electronics" dumping area. Does anyone have a link to a website?

Try Calendar
or Bureau of Sanitation

Do a search for e-waste or household hazardous waste.
