San Dimas is a great place to live! I love the trails and the peaceful surrounding. If you need action then move somewhere near Pasadena. Around Old Town.

San Dimas is a great town. I lived there when I was single and enjoyed being so close to so many colleges ( Claremont, Cal Poly, La Verne, APU, Mt Sac, Citrus ).

San Dimas is great- but not when you're single and don't know very many people. At least not for me!
The answer is obvious although all moves take time and effort and to be honest are always a “pain in the butt”.
You have unfortunately moved to “ America” however you do not need “America” you need “California” specifically some environ of “Los Angeles”
You probably know LA better than me so you know the options.
Either get another job or commute(never a good option) and start the next phase of your life surrounded by people who consider, partying, clothes and cars as more important than a safe family environment, you should have a blast.
The problem is that when you meet that “perfect partner” and want to settle down and start a family you will want to move back to San Dimas but at least you will know where the Walmart and Water Park are!

Just because I moved to a place that I do not consider fun- does not make me shallow. I don't think it is fun here because I used to live a block from the beach. There are some activities San Dimas cannot provide- and I miss them! Besides, my sister found her "perfect partner" and lives in Las Vegas with her family of four- To each his own- A self-proclaimed hippie should know that.....

Hey maybe I should move to Malibu- where clothes and cars are considered nonessentials-

Anyway, thanks for the judgmental reply that is filled with implicit criticism- you really changed my life

Sounds like you might be a little defensive and hating your present situation because of a bad love experience as much as living someplace you think is boring..I can understand if you lived in some little town in NM or NV, 75 miles from a real city with nothing to do, but San Dimas is surrounding by so much.

I guess though to some, living by the beach is the only way to live: to each his own, enjoy your life when school is over next year...

I would forget Malibu as you would hate it here too.

San Dimas is a very beautiful, quiet, and peaceful neighborhood, but if you must find something utterly exciting and stimulating to do, you may take some tours of Old San Dimas, join some of the programs hosted by the city that are listed in the monthly magazines that are sent to you. If you are still bored, Mt. Baldy is only a few miles away, and you could go hiking now, or skiing in the winter. The only reason, I'm sorry to say, why San Dimas seems so boring, is because you yourself have not taken the time to think what to do. Rather than sitting on the couch or standing in front of the computer claiming San Dimas is boring, why didn't you search online for what you could do?

If that mentality is too extreme for you, then take this advice: Sometimes you have to create your own excitement.

Well if you don't like where you are and can move, then most definitely move. I think most of us on this forum have been through that at some point or another. But if your stuck you may as well make the best out of it, go around and meet some people... Strike up some random conversations, you never know what might happen .

Can't blame you, I'd be bored to death living in San Dimas. Then again I'd be bored to death living in Culver City too.
