Hi Everyone,

Can anyone tell me a bit about the Rancho area of Burbank? Specifically, I have a 700K - 800K budget for a home - can I afford the area? If not, any other Burbank recommendations? Also, I was wondering if anyone has used a reputable mortgage broker recently? Any recommendations would be appreciated as I'm moving from GA. Otherwise, I'll end up just going with BOA and will never know if I got the best deal.

How close is Rancho to the studios? Any "bad" areas to look out for?

I just moved back here to my home town from GA!

Since prices have dropped everywhere, the Rancho now has some homes in that range. It is my favorite hood in the Valley.

You may want to use a different lender, tho. B of A has made people nuts of late, which is probably why they are advertising the opposite.

I can absolutely refer you to a good lender.
Just holler!

Welcome!

Thanks very much. I just accepted your friend request (I think - I'm new to this, ha). Would appreciate your sending me that info!

General question - why do people diss the valley? I know, I know, my lack of LA knowledge is probably showing :-)
