Is this a good route to and from LAX from Fairfax Ave? I was thinking of taking Fairfax to La Cienega to La Tijera to Sepulveda to LAX. It would be mid-morning on a weekday, and again in the midafternoon on a weekday. It looks like it would be not too bad for traffic and reasonably direct, would it be? I don't want to take highways, too congested and I can't stand them anyway.

What is that strange-looking unpopulated wasteland that La Cienega passes through on that route? I see it on the map but can't figure out what it would be. Looks speedy though.

Thats a good route. Shouldn't be an issue if its not during commute times.

That "wasteland" is a combination of a decent sized park and oil refining in Ladera Heights.

i second the la cienega route. be aware that la cienega does become a highway south of rodeo rd though. and make sure that you don'd miss your turn to la tijera or you'll end up on the 405.
