Me and My DH are wondering should we spend $2,ooo for a used car here in Orlando FL to drive it to LA CA or would it be smarter, better and cheaper to take a plane and buy the use car over in LA CA?

Thats what I was thinking was best but dont really know how good its transportation in LA and thats why my DH wants to take the car. His field as highrise window cleaner requires a car. I still think is better to buy it over there anyway!!

I don't drive, so I don't know all the ins and outs of car registration in CA, but I think if you bought it there and then drove it out you'd have to deal with lots of paperwork and expenses for getting it registered in CA; I think that can be pretty expensive. Public transportation isn't bad depending on where you live. At the very least you could try to get by with just one car (if he needs one for work), at least until you get settled.

One of the problems, $2,000 isn't going to buy a reliable car so you might want to wait until you really do get to Ca and get decent jobs..It would be better for him to try and get on with a window cleaner company than go out on his own..Companies usually provide trucks...
