I would hope you could do better than living up against the 10 (in a marginal neighborhood) for $2K/mo.
Since my grandkids are my pride and joy right next to my son and daughters I immediately disreguarded this area. No home is worth the health of my babies.
Thank you for your information.
I came across a home not too far away in Downtown Culver City on Faris Drive.

If anyone has information on the area (90034) Itd be very much appreciated.

It's not the best of areas, and is definitely not the kind of place I'd be moving to for my first time in LA. Kind of barren, with none of the attractive architecture that'd normally lure me to West Adams, nor is there any noteworthy cultural attractions/dining/nightlife scenes that would copensate for such. Also, there are some shady types in and around that nabe -- especially south of Adams.

That said, if you have a car like most Angelinos (effectively cutting off 90% of any human interaction you'd normally have), and keep to yourself (i.e people in the 'hood don't take too kindly to people "staring" at them), you'll more than likely be alright

Here are some of my thoughts -- and photos -- of the general area: prettyugly.: South LA Intro
