This is a follow up/companion thread to my initial request for neighborhood information in L.A. Grateful to all the great responses to that thread.

I have been looking at vacancies through: forrent.com, apartmentguide.com and westsiderentals.com. It has been suggested that finding accommodation may be fairly easy, due to the current relative market softness. However, as I am completely new to L.A., have limited time, am coordinating this with a two day conference and want to chill out a little over the 4 days I am in town...I am interested in any professional assistance. So far it has not been clear whether this is available or useful. Will be focusing on Silverlake/Loz Feliz/Downtown with perhaps some excursions elsewhere, time permitting.

Westside rentals offers a gold membership:

"Our Gold Membership Service package consists of:

One-on-one rental and vacancy wish-list consultations.
Minimum of 4 rental viewings around your schedule in one day.
Development of a Tenant Profile used to effectively market you and maximize your exposure to potential Landlords.
Personal driver assigned to take you on visits to properties of interest on a particular day."

Flat fee $350 USD

Apartment Rentals in Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego

Anyone had experience with this service or care to comment? Thanks all.

Hey OP, did you ever get/use that Westside Rentals gold membership? If so, how was it?
