Employers are very picky here if you want a good job. They want someone who can hit the ground running and looks like million bucks, super stable, and will accept low pay.
the job he took , customer service, started with 12 per hour, he worked for them for 1 year and had to quit. full benefits and vacation days, insurance which also covered his medical when he found out he had cancer. he has cancer and had to do his treatment plus the chemo made his fingers weak so he is unable to type. but when my friend did quit, he was at 16$ an hour which is good since during this time he also moved to phoenix and they let him work from home. he is back in los angeles again.
the other 2 jobs were, bartender and another customer service.
the job was good and the pay was better than minimum wage .

If you have a decent personally and dress professional you should be able to get pratically any low paying job at a department store. Do a good job and you can move up to manager quickly. It's really not that hard.
Move up to manager. The realization that you spent years in a job you hated just to become the very people you disliked. Next thing you know you go bald and the highlight of your day is writing up an associate.

Get a **** job and move to a better one as fast as possible.
