Where is a safe place to live? I was looking at a job in los angeles but I would only be there 3 days a week I would be going back to my house in Houston on my days off.

A large amount of LA is safe... where are you going to be working? Until we know that, we can't intelligently give you advice.

nice bit a science fiction their. California isn't going to fall into the Pacific.

LA has plenty of safe areas, where you work is important in relation to where you live. Unless you like a long commute.
