Hello, I am about to relocate to LA for a job from Sacramento. I received a position at Centinela Hospital in Inglewood (I know not to live there ;p) but pretty much I only know where not to live. Because I am unfamiliar with the traffic patterns in the area, I'm interested to know if anyone has any decent recommendations on where to live around Inglewood with a decent commute? Although I'll be working overnights so I'm not really sure how much of a problem I will have with traffic anyways. I was considering Torrance. And I'm looking at spending up to 1500 on a one bedroom apartment.

Thank you for your ideas.

A lot of people might tell you to stay west of the 405, but it can get expensive. Los Angeles Apartments, Orange County Apartments, and San Diego Apartments is one popular site.

Here's an example:

To live in a so called "good" neighborhood your going to have to make some type of commute. Depending on traffic and accidents a drive that is normally 15 minutes can take you an hour! Don't get so caught up in where and where no to live visit LA and go around to some of the different neighborhoods and find one that you will be comfortable in. Good Luck! Congrats on the new job!
