I am staying at a house in Beverly Hills in two weeks. For reasons I won't get into, I have to fly out of Long Beach Airport at 9:55 on a Wednesday morning. I am looking for advice on routes and how long I should budget for the trip. I want to be at the airport around an hour early. Is 7:30 a realistic starting time? What about routes? Should I avoid the 405? If so, how? The house is near the Franklin Canyon Resevoir. Thanks!

If I had to do the trip I would leave the house at 06:00 drop down to W. Sunset Blvd then go West to the 405, suffer the traffic for an hour or two and then have breakfast at the airport.
I'm sure other people will say different but I like to keep things simple!
This may be of use when you get near.

This is also quite good for real time traffic info if you have no sat nav.
