I am just wondering because for me I wouldn't mind living at the corners of Ave. 26 & Figueroa or at Chandler (Between Fair Ave. & Lankershim).

No offense but what is interesting with Figueroa at Avenue 26? What's interesting with Figueroa anywhere in the city? I live near Colorado Blvd & really like it through Pasadena into Eagle Rock & Glendale.

Figueroa at Avenue 26 is a major intersection for a Bunch of MTA Lines and a Gold Line train Station near it. Plus the 110/5 Freeways.

I like Lake between Colorado and California in Pasadena. Great shopping, restaurants and bus lines.

Actually it is Union Station [2 stations beyond Ave 26] where you connect to the Red Line & all the metro trains & Coastliner. It's an interesting old LA building with a lot of class & very busy. The bullet train will also come into Union Station.

What's wrong with Whittier Blvd near you? The Gold Line goes right down the middle of the blvd. Some good restaurants in Mariachi Plaza.

Although I probably would not wish to live near this intersection, one of the main considerations when moving to a new location is accessibility to public transportation and the options available to me. Although my present intersection only has two main bus lines, I can easily get to Pasadena, OC, Long Beach and Downtown LA without transferring bus lines. Granted, it isn't perfect but works for my transit needs.

I also look for walkability to shopping, dining and other conveniences.

You cannot connect to ALL metro rail lines through Union Station as only the Gold, Purple and Red lines go through there (Are you referring to Metrolink trains?). Also, what is the Coastliner?

I meant the metroliner trains. The Coastliner is Amtrak to San Diego or up to San Francisco. It leaves on the hour but stops in 7 other cities on the way to the Santa Fe station in San Diego. It takes about 2 & half hours from Union station to San Diego but only exceeds 90mph on a few stretches.

The train from Union Station that goes up towards SF is the Coast Starlight train. The other Amtrak train that travels from San Luis Obispo to SD is the Surfliner train, which approximately one hour service between Union and SD.
