I, myself, am interested in moving to California. I have been for years, but have yet to take a trip out there. I originally wanted to move to San Diego, but decided although it is beautiful (in pictures), it seems kind of far from what I am looking for. I am currently in Orlando, and although LA is more expensive, Orlando is not a cheap area to live and buy homes in. I am looking for an area with lots of things around and activities to do, which is why I am leaning more towards the LA area. I would love to live in Beverly Hills, but it would not be my first move because of the cost of homes. I was thinking about Brentwood(?). It is close to Hollywood and Beverly Hills, while not quite in it. It doesn't seem AS expensive, but again, I haven't been there. I am looking for input as well. Also, I find it funny that RovingWriter mentioned never turning on the AC during the day unless its the hottest days, when in Orlando and most of FL the AC stays on almost all WINTER, and summer?? Forget about it. Mine never turns off for more than 20 minutes, and thats set at 78*. But more about why I am considering the area is because of the culture and nature of the area. I am a singer and very interested in the night & daylife of the area. I figure I'll give the lifestyle a try. My husband and I are young and successful and feel that we can handle this change.
