I know this question has been asked many times before and I'm aware that this is a terrible commute .. but for now I have to deal with it and was hoping that someone could share ANY useful tips to bypass traffic .. a shortcut, a street, ANYTHING to make the drive a little less miserable! I'm planning to leave at around 6:30-6:45 from culver city to get to work at around 8am and leave around 6:00pm-6:30pm ...

Thanks in advance

the 405 is your only real option. the good thing is that much of the drive is a reverse commute, but of course you'll run into more traffic once you get past long beach. one option is to get on PCH near the 605/405 interchange. my wife used to do this, it still is slow but at least you have the ocean to look at.

I would suggest leaving at least 30 minutes earlier.
As BR mentioned, your commute down to Long Beach/710 will be fine for the most part but from 605 on it would start getting ugly by 6:45AM.

Well, if you live at 6am, you might get to work at 7ish, you live at 6:20 and it might be almost 8 by the time you get to work.

If switching to a later or preferably an earlier shift possible, that might be a better option too.
