Ok, so you have an actual "fear" of Baptists. I cannot wait to tell my Sunday School teaching younger brother just how "feared" he is.

He'd laugh his silly ass off, but yet, would be the very FIRST to help you on the side of the road, and even shelter and feed your whole family if in need! Indefinitely!!
Please stop your wholesale indictment of ANY denomination (Christian, or otherwise) without knowing the individuals personally within your imagined "hate" groups.

Thanks.

The political climate today is to demonize Christians and portray ALL of them as intolerant and dangerous . It's obviously working .

Nothing resembling LGBTQ in Mandeville, LA.... unless you count the upstanding, church going, affluent, pillars of the community who are looking to cheat on their wives with other guys.

If you go to craigslist, you will see lots of men 4 men ads from married men in the Northshore.

Is it religious outside of New Orleans? Are there many baptists?

Any gays/lesbians that live in rural Louisiana? What is it like?

My partner is a horse trainer, so she would have to deal with the public.

We are really interested in Covington, but if there is anywhere that is more friendly, please let us know.

We are currently outside of Nashville and wish not to repeat the same mistake.
No they are definitely not liberal like New Orleans....the County (Parish) voted 75% for Romney. My wife grew up 30 miles further into the country from Covington but there neighbors were 2 lesbian ladies...everyone knew or suspected they were lesbian but nobody seemed to care. There is a significant Libertarian attitude in that area that emanates from the attitude of New Orleans.
