Hi all, can anyone tell me what happened to Mary Poppins Drive, in Harvey, LA? Out of curiosity I googled a return address on an envelope of an old letter from a relative of mine, but Google couldn't even find the road.

Does it no longer exist, and if so, what happened?

Thanks for your help!

Default Mary Poppins Drive

HI,

I looked too -I used to live on Mary Poppins Drive back in the 1970's.

I believe the name is now Tallow Tree Lane. I looked on Google Maps for the apartments where I used to live, and there's a lot of vacant land on that street now. I bet Katrina destroyed everything. There are single family houses around there now, and they look relatively new.

They probably changed the name because of the reputation of that area, sh*thhole would be putting it nicely. Do not venture in alone without protection.

That's a shame. Back in about 1977 it was ok - nothing fancy, but it was safe at least.
