I moved to Baton Rouge from Sugarland, TX almost two years ago. I live in south BR but I hate it. I found a house in Baker and I have visited it several times day and night just to check out the area and it seems pretty decent. It was so quiet at night you could hear a pin drop. I've been reading post about Baker not being so nice. Is that true??

Baker is more like Sugarland than Baton Rouge EVER will be.

You may have found a similar community. They're both... small town America.
Baton Rouge isn't that.

Baker is declining and has been for years . The school system sucks and Hwy 19 , the main drag , is starting to look like a third world country .

Baker sucks! If you want to move north of the city, go to Zachary. Baker has no future.
