I can say the same for folks up your way. Spent two quarters at LA Tech living at Neilson before transferring to USL back in 1981. Loved the people and enjoyed watching the Lady Techsters kill one opponent after another.

Present day. We have offices in Bossier City and Kilgore. As the IT support dude, as well as the company pilot, I get up there a lot. Always enjoyable.

If you want to see Cajun/French culture, visit Festivals Acadiens et Creoles, and Festival International de Louisiane, both in Lafayette. They're the best festivals I've ever been to!
When do these festivals occur?

International is coming soon, sometime in April I believe, and Acadiens is usually in October.

My second husband was Cajun. We spent a good deal of time down in Vermilion Parish and I can tell you that the culture, language, food and music is very much alive and well. I don't think it's going anywhere. Thank goodness.

The Cajuns are a strong people. With what they've been through in their history, they would have to be.
